Social upheaval

 

 

The editorial (TSI February 4, 2008) echoes the gospel truth of how immorality has been permeating in the society and heartless human beings and toothless laws are mute witnesses to the social upheaval. In fact, the kidney transplant racket, spreading out from Gurgaon to foreign countries, is not only a horrendous act but also a challenge to the dignity and integrity of our nation. Moreover, having doctors, expected to be saviours, involved in the heinous crime for money is a stigma and serious blot on humanity. I agree with the view that the ghastly trade can be checked by the introduction of stringent laws for the perpetrators of the crime.
