Sneijder's future in God's hands

The Inter Milan midfielder, Wesley Sneijder, doesn't seem to be sure about his future. Just after 2 days after pledging his commitment to the club, he has once against raised speculation over his stay.

The Dutch international quoted on Friday that he was happy at Inter and saw no reason to leave. But during an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport on Sunday he had some other thoughts.

"The Inter fans have always treated me very well. They were wonderful and I want to simply thank them,” he said. "Only God will decide where my future lies. I can be certain of one thing: if I remain at Inter, then I will give my all to win everything again. When you have had the greatest and most surprising year of your life (winning the treble in 2009/10), it's only natural that the next will be less rewarding”.

Not everything can be perfect, he said. “I had fun in my second year with Inter and was satisfied, even if we didn't win everything. At least this way we still have a few more objectives to reach,” he said. "I love Inter with all my heart."

Sneijder joined Inter Milan from Real Madrid at a reported fees of £15 millions and has since then scored 15 goals in 79 appearances for the club. Sneijder was an important part of the Inter squad which won the treble in 2009-2010.

And it shouldn't be surprising that the Dutchman has been targeted by clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea.
