Shakespeare in Love His stories and sonnets are some of the greatest love ballads one can cull in English literature. The prolific romanticism of the legendary Shakespeare that has been followed by millions the world over makes one wonder, in a loveless world, about his muse if only to be inspired to write as well! If evidences are to be believed, Shakespeare was a bisexual. While 26 sonnets are devoted to a ‘Dark Lady’ (a married woman he was speculated to be in love with) 126 of them are dedicated to a young man, known as the ‘Fair Lord’. Historians assume with the amorous tone of his latter dedication that Shakespeare was discontented with his marriage to Anne Hathaway. Boy, did he put up a facade?
