I am Walker, an avid biker and a psychologist at the University of Bath in England, heard complaints from fellow bicyclists and so he carried out a research, in which he attached ultrasonic sensors to his bicycle and then let cars fly past it. And, what did he discover? That by wearing a helmet while riding, vehicles overtaking you tend to drive twice as close to you than if you were wearing
none, which would heighten your chances of getting hit! So the gear meant to protect you, inadvertently puts you in more danger!
