Reshuffle is to give some enthusiasm: Sheila

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in her first media interaction after changing the portfolios of her cabinet colleagues said the purpose is basically to give little enthusiasm in the team.

She agreed that the change is to rationalize the division as some of her ministers were over burdened and some had lesser work.

“All our ministers are equally capable and thus everyone should have equal responsibility”, she said.

After month long speculation on reshuffle Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit changed some key portfolios Monday night. Chief Minister had been batting for the immediate regularization of unauthorized colonies for long and to expedite the regularization process she has given the responsibility of Urban development to young minister Arvinder Singh Lovely.

The UD portfolio was with Dr. A. K. Walia and it was viewed that under Dr.Walia the process of regularization was slow. Transport and education portfolio has been taken from Lovely and given to Ramakant Goswami and Kiran Walia respectively. Industry has been taken from Ramakant and given to Haroon Yusuf. Development has been taken from Haroon Yusuf and handed over to Rajkumar Chauhan.
