Reforming education

 

 

Finally one sees a progressive HRD Minister Kapil Sibal without all the reservation-rot! Navrachana is one of the best schools in Vadodara, successfully imparting education which is job oriented to the poorer sections of the city. 'Navprerna' is the off-shoot of Navrachana, it operates in its premises after regular school hours, a parallel school working for about 5 hours six days a week. These children pay a token fee of Rs 50 a month, using the same class rooms, and with free meals and other facilities. At the end those who wish to study further, they have the option of joining regular schools, or start working as they are taught skills to suit them individually. This idea has literally brought about a revolution. Such institutions are a necessity and they would immensely help the programme that Sibal has in mind. Why not check this out Mr Sibal??
