Rahul visits Vindhyachal temple, Kantit Sharif

AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday visited the famous Vindhyachal temple here and later offered a 'chadar' at Kantit Sharif, the dargah of Hazrat Ismail Chisti.
   
Gandhi, who yesterday arrived in Varanasi unannounced and later visited Chandauli before reaching Mirzapur last night, went to the temple and dargah, party workers said.
   
After his visit to the holy places, the Congress leader went to the house of Javed, a small-time gambler who died last week after he jumped into river Ganga to dodge police, and consoled his widow.
   
He then visited Hastinpur village in Chilh area and interacted with villagers.
