Rahul Gandhi to visit Punjab from October 10

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Punjab for two days from October 10. He will be visiting Amritsar, Jalandhar and Patiala during his two day tour of the state.
 
Announcing the tour, state Congress chief Capt. Amarinder Singh said Rahul will interact with a cross section of people including party workers, office bearers right from the block to the state level, MPs and MLAs. He will also interact with the candidates who contested and lost previous elections in 2009 and 2012 for assembly and parliamentary elections respectively.
 
Several committees has been formed under the state chief in the wake of Rahul’s visit to the state.
 
Amrinder Singh informed that a detailed programme has been chalked to ensure that all the office bearers get an opportunity to meet the party general secretary. 
 
At Amritsar he would interact with the block and district presidents. At Jalandhar he is scheduled to meet all the members of the local bodies including the municipal corporations, municipal committees and zila parishads. And, at Patiala he party MPs, MLAs and candidates who lost elections will get an opportunity to deliberate with Rahul.
