Planman Motion Pictures has done it yet again by winning the most prestigious award of the country, the National Film Award for their movie Do Dooni Chaar! After Prosenjit Chatterjee won the Special Jury Best Actor Award for his role in Dosar (2006), Faltu (2006) was adjudged as the Best Film on Family Welfare, and then The Last Lear (2007) was declared the Best Feature Film in English and Shefali Shah also picked up the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in the film.
Do Dooni Chaar is the fourth film from Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri’s production house, which has also gone on to earn accolades at the National Awards. Judged as the Best Hindi Film at the 58th National Film Awards, the movie had also won over the nation’s heart with the simple and touching story of a middle class household’s daily turmoils and triumphs. Adding immensely to Do Dooni Chaar’s popular appeal was also the reunion of yesteryear’s leading couple Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, who starred together in the film after a gap of three decades.
This award adds yet another feather to Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri and Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee’s (CEO, Planman Motion Pictures) caps, who continue to give the audiences meaningful and sensible cinema to celebrate and relish!
