An exclusive State of the Nation opinion poll conducted by ICMR for TSI that covered India’s eight largest cities and more than 2,000 urban, educated, middle class and young citizens had one question: Who is the President of India? Close to 10% of those polled failed to answer, saying they don’t know who it is. That just about sums up how the obscure and semi-retired politician from Maharashtra, Pratibha Patil became the President of the Indian Republic. We miss you Abdul Kalam and would love to have you back as President!
