One injured in firing at metro station

One person was seriously injured when a man opened fire at Mayur metro station late on Saturday evening. The identity of the injured man was not known yet.

The injured was rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where his condition is said to be out of danger.

The incident happened near the entrance of the Metro station at around 6.15 in the evening.

According to reports, the assaliant was overpowered by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawans present at the scene.
 
It is still not clear whether the man hit by the bullet was the actual target of the assailant or not.

Senior Delhi police officers have reached the spot and investigations are underway.
