Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra on Friday rubbished reports of her unaccounted wealth and said I-T officials found cash of less than Rs 50,000 which was duly accounted for during the search conducted at her residence.

"Contrary to media reports, the total cash found by authorities was less than Rs 50,000 which was duly accounted in the books. All properties purchased by Priyanka and her immediate family members have been declared at the relevant point of time. Additionally, the entire jewellery has been accounted for," a statement issued by Priyanka's chartered accountant said.

"We reiterate that no undisclosed assets were revealed during the search. Chopra is one of the highest tax payers among her contemporaries in the film industry. We are extending full co-operation to the Income Tax authorities in their investigations," the statement said.

Earlier in the day, Priyanka's spokesperson had dubbed media reports about her alleged concealment of income as "malicious" and "unsubstantiated".

"We deny the many malicious rumours being spread in the media on the basis of some unidentified sources," the spokesperson said.

"We are extending all co-operation to the Income Tax authorities on their ongoing investigations and are restraining ourselves from commenting further on the issue pending completion of the investigative process."

I-T officials had searched the residences and office of Priyanka on Monday for suspected tax evasion.

It was reported that the film star owns nine flats in Mumbai and has unaccounted assets worth Rs 6 crore.
