The cover story on Mumbai reinforced the fact that it is a city of migrants. The strength of any city is its welcoming nature. I would say Mumbai is the New York of the east. Let's hope that MNS and its leader Raj Thackeray call off their 'Mumbai for Marathis only' movement and try to build a bridge between Marathis and non-Marathis. The world wonders how so many cultures can unite in making Mumbai what it is. The only weak link is that sometimes Mumbai fails to look beyond money. Another fact is that there are as many illegal ways of earning as there are legal ways. The song "Zara bach ke zara hat ke yeh hai Mumbai meri jaan" by Rafi typifies the nature of the city.
