In a statement that is bound to raise political and diplomatic storm, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has openly come out and accuse Saudi Arabia of extending support to the terrorist organizations operating inside Iraq. “The current terrorism originates from Saudi Arabia,” Maliki was reported as saying in an interview early this week. However he expressed optimism that his forces will be able to curb the recent spate of violence. “The world has united with us. The [UN] Security Council, the European Union, and most Arab countries, except some diabolical treacherous countries,” the Prime Minister further added.
