corruptionWe are witnessing all round development in Delhi but this development is coming at some cost. The biggest cost that we are paying is our social life. No doubt the social life of the city has become the history and people nowadays are buying happiness but not enjoying it.

People have money but no time. Everyone wants that instead of 24 hours, day should be of 28 hours so that they could finish off their work. At the same time they know that hours of the day cannot be extended so try to speed up everything within 24 hours.

To meet these deadlines they not only indulge in rash driving but try to manipulate every system by either bribing or using their contacts. Because of this attitude there is no public dealing office where you can get your work done without middlemen or touts. No doubt, system has certain lacunae which are exploited by these middlemen but we are also responsible. These middlemen or touts are our own brothers and sisters. Just like us they are also running after money and for that they exploit the system.

There was a report that how licenses are being made in transport department and how the middlemen exploit the system. Though most of the things in the authority are online and if anyone wants or has time then he can get his work done easily but everyone wants to get their work done without taking any pain. It is not this that our government servants are very effective and good but there are two things one is that they are one of us and second us ourselves should try to follow the system and not exploit system according to our wish. Very soon we will be witnessing a movement against corruption in Delhi led by Anna Team so when we go out to support the movement we should introspect and take pledge that we will not indulge in any kind of corruption and will try to follow the system whatever pains we may have to face.
