Kya Hoga Mimoh Ka?

 

 

You watch Jimmy, Mimoh Chakraborty’s debut film, with a growing sense of disbelief; disbelief that any movie could’ve been this poorly made. Guaranteed that the debut films of star children are a hit and miss affair, but never in the recent past has any star son been launched in such an atrocious manner. After watching the film you almost start to feel that Mithun doesn’t want his son to have a career! Because that’s what this B grade film is, a ‘career killer’, and the fact that this movie was still released makes you wonder about the intentions of the people behind it.

Please don’t ask me about the story, suffice to say it’s worse than the worst of an 80’s Bollywood action flick with dialogues that will make you cringe (Sample this: “Tujhe apne baap ki aatma ko karz-mukt karna hai beta”). As for Mimoh, he’s simply the worst part about the movie – still to shed his baby fat, sporting the haircut of a drug addict with a voice of a 19-year old girl suffering from a cold and dancing as if suffering from an epileptic seizure. He’s not fit to face the camera. And, as for his acting abilities, let’s just say some wax statues have better expressions. Please don’t watch Jimmy, even if you’re a masochist!
