Kargil mange more

 

 

When Kargil happened, nobody had anticipated that it will escalate to such a level. Young officers just passing out of academy were directly sent to battle. But once war was the only choice, not only Vikram Batra... we saw every Indian soldier rushing to evict the enemy. Yet, till date, the politicians haven’t learnt anything even after paying a heavy price. Vikram’ words ‘Yeh dil maange more’ was more to me a voice of the youth of the entire country who knew that they may not return alive but the border of the motherland should be secure. Whatever it may be, youths like Vikram will always keep coming forward. (1999)
