Jail jitters!

 

 

Legend has it that the prison of Alcatraz in San Francisco (also called The Rock) which is bustling with tourists in the day time, is also home to a host of ghosts! One, of the many weird happenings that took place in the empty alleys of the prison, was when a man locked up in a secluded cell complained of a ghostly presence, the guards checked the cell and after finding no one there, discarded the convict’s complaints as mere hoax… only to find him dead the next morning, with strangulation marks on his throat! Interestingly, the dead man would also be sighted many times in the prison premises. They say ghosts return to places where they were traumatised to death… No wonder Alcatraz then, right?!
