About 30 teams from police, BSF, CRPF, ITBP would participate in 17 major games at the Revathi range at Indore during the fifth All India Police Sports Shooting Championship-2011 beginning from September 26.
The championship would cover ten men team and seven women teams with 400 to 500 participants for 68 each of gold, silver and bronze medals, DIG BSF at Central School of Weapons and Tactice, Commandant Rakesh Sharma told reporters on Thursday.
Weapons like air rifle, air pistol, .22 rifle and pistol, .32 pistal and all bore rifle would be used, Sharma said.
Eight trophies in men and women categories would also given away to winning teams, he said.
Additional DG BSF Randeep Singh would inaugurate the championship, which would come to an end on September 30, he said.
