A new method called IMT or Immune Modulation Therapy is being used to treat patients who have chronic heart failure. Doctors say that the inflammations that occur after a heart attack often are more dangerous and can further damage the heart. IMT works by exposing a sample of the patient’s blood to UV light and ozone. The injured blood cells then send across a strong immune response to this, which in turn reduces the risk of more heart attacks that can occur due to inflammations.
