According to findings at Ghent University in Belgium, brine shrimp, when fed a compound called poly-ß-hydroxybutyrate, or PHB, grew immune to infection wrought by Vibrio campbellii, an antibiotic-resistant pathogenic bacteria. While the naturally-occurring PHB is an energy-provider too, its industrial-scale production possibilities lend heartening prospects of antibiotics' overkill!
