Schizophrenia and denial amongst metro teens are clearly visible here, with just 22% of them ‘admitting’ to have indulged in sex. More than 35% of smaller city teens admitted having sexual relationships. Are India sociologists missing out on a silent revolution here or are metro teens ‘just playing safe’? Less than 5% in East India seem to indulge in sex while close to 50% in West India are candid about the sexual nature of their affairs. Why are teenagers in East India so different from their peers in West?
