The world went really potty in July 2007, when the seventh and the last of the Harry Potter series was due for release across the world. Even in India, resigned parents and their ultra excited kids stood in front of book stores at dawn to ensure they got their copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when they opened for business. The movie release of one of the Harry Potter books in 2007 too created unprecedented hype across the world. And why not? Author J.K Rowling, who was a single mother on unemployment dole when she started writing the book, is now worth more than $ 1 billion i.e., about Rs 4,000 crores! The Harry Potter movies have already grossed close to $4 billion at the box office. The tale of Harry, his friends Hermione and Ron and their escapades will surely rank as one of the most successful publishing events in history.

New Year Resolution: I will launch a new Harry Potter series starring his son as the new wizard.
