Great indian paradox

 

 

Educated youth in Indian politics is on an uphill road. Indian politics is all about winning elections. To win, the candidate must have money and muscle power. He must be able to incite people in the name of region, religion and caste. He must be corrupt, but shamelessly portray a clean image. He should be able to siphon off public money to his own secret accounts without a hint of guilt! (I suppose even this requires some sort of education. After all Satyam's Raju is an educated person!) A modern Indian educated youth stays away from all this to lead a middle-class life of a flat, a wife, a kid and a job with sure shot but fixed income and post job benefits. Indian politics is also a gamble, in which many lose. In spite of this, we still need an educated person for some posts like the Finance Minister! So, Indian politics is a paradox. Both the illiterate and the educated are a part of our cacophonic democracy. Just watch a session in Parliament to see the chaos.
