Former Assembly Secretary blackmailing me: Delhi Speaker

The budget session of Delhi Assembly is expected to be a stormy one. Opposition would raise the issue of cleaning of Yamuna very vigorously.

The opposition is also expected to raise the issue of Speaker attending the government functions and party rallies.

Addressing a press conference on the eve of the budget session Speaker Dr. Yoganand Shastri gave details about the business during the budget session. When asked that whether he has brought down the dignity of the Chair by attending the government functions and party rallies, he replied, “he has done nothing to bring down the dignity of the Chair”.

On the case against him in the Lokayukta he said that the former secretary of the Assembly is basically blackmailing him and he would divulge the details at the right time.
