Sachin Tendulhar

Are you counting Sachin Tendulker's flop shows in the middle? Till now Sachin has played thirty three international innings without a three figure mark. Last time he could reach the magical number in the world cup against South African team almost a year ago.

Since then Sachin has played thirty three innings and he has scored only eight fifties. Till date Sachin's longest century less streak was in 2007. That year he played 34 innings without a century. But if it is compared to his current struggle it seems he performed much better.

In those 34 long innings he had scored 15 fifties including three scores of 99s. His batting average during struggle period in 2007 was 47.24. But now it has dipped to 32.87.

With continuously mounting pressure, Sachin is feeling the heat of his bad patch. Unlike CB Series, India is playing with only two specialist openers in Asia Cup. So it is almost certain that he will be getting opportunity to reach the three figure mark in all matches that India will play in the Asia Cup.

Indians will face Bangladesh on 16th.. If, in that match, he succeeds in reaching the magical mark, critics may say that Sachin has chosen a weak team to reach hundred and if he flops he will be criticised for not scoring even against weak teams.

It's high time for Sachin Tendulker. Many times in the past he has bounced back in the form after series of low scores. This time also he will have to repeat the same, otherwise despite having demigod stature of cricket, it would be tough for him to continue with such form for long.
