This has reference to your article ‘Target:Justice’ (TSI December 3, 2007). The serial blasts in various district courts are indicative of growing influence of Islamic militants in the nation. They are attacking the key institutions of the country one after another, managing to dodge intelligence agencies with the
help of a well established network. Though Shivaraj Patil has accepted that terrorists have managed to create new centres of terror in lesser known places of India, he has failed to come out with an effective plan for their total elimination. Seems like the Muslim vote bank has limited the Home Minister to mere face saving gestures. There are reports that both Centre and State have entered in war of words over alleged failure of Intelligence agencies. Perhaps, they are not interested in preventing the country from turning into playground of terrorists. After all, what has prevented the UPA government from having tough laws to curb their growth?
