Expel porngate ministers from house: Opposition

Though three Karnataka ministers Lakshman Savadi, CC Patil and Krishna Palemar, caught watching porn in Assembly, have resigned, the issue is yet to subside with the Karnataka Assembly witnessing a noisy commotion on Wednesday. Opposition parties have mounted pressure on the house speaker to expel them for 'desecrating the sanctity of the House'.
Embarrassment engulfed BJP when reports of Karnataka Minister for Cooperation Laxman Savadi watching porn on his mobile in the Assembly were surfaced. Also other two ministers- Palemar and Women and Child Welfare Minister C.C. Patil were caught live on the camera peeping into Savadi's phone.
As the video went viral on the net, Savadi had called a press-conference on February 8, defending himself by saying that it was not a porn video. But a few people are willing to buy his argument as some organizations took to streets in protest.
Savadi's house in Bangalore too was attacked and a bandh was called in Athani, the home town of Savadi. Youth Congress activists held protest march out side the Vidhana Souda protesting the incident. Inside, the opposition MLAs showed placards reading ‘down with dirty government’ and others.
Talking to TSI, Congress MLA CM Ibrahim said: “Karnataka is the state which gave cultural lessons to the nation. But today BJP ministers showed their real colour by watching sex videos in Assembly. Today we saw what happen when those who used to wear shorts and have little experience in administration become MLAs.”
However, since the porn issue surfaced in local and national media, both Savadi and Patil have being crying foul. They said: “I was watching the video of a rave party held in Iran, where four youth had raped a girl and then murdered her after the party.”
