After nearly 20 years of research, the Chinese have finally discovered a cheap means of converting coal into gas. Apparently, still widely used in their country, the Chinese have found out that a simple pumping action can help reduce a major chunk of the costs involved and that too without the use any hi-tech machinery. While their determination is certainly laudable, environmentalists on the other hand, are not too impressed. They fear that this would increase the carbon dioxide content in the atmosphere.
