Ekk Deewana Tha
Dud of a deewana
When Jaane Tu… released four years back, there must have only been a piddling few who didn’t notice Prateik Babbar. Even in that small role, he stood out and left a mark. But that was then. Every movie since, Prateik has been a disappointment. Ekk Deewana Tha is no different. It is an average love story with its own set of twists and turns, and is rendered further average by Prateik and Amy’s expressionless acting and unimpressive dialogue delivery. A R Rahman’s music does nothing to save it either.
Safe House
But not quite a Full House…
‘Safe House’ centres on the much maligned, self-righteous Intelligence Agency, CIA. Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) is a violently persecuted ex-CIA agent turned spy turned international criminal who is on the run. Yale graduate Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) is a rookie agent who is the ‘tenant’ of a ‘Safe House’, used as a prosecution hub by the agency. Frost is in possession of certain ‘classified files’ which is why he is attracting the heat.
