Dhoti, veshti, lungi - Unstitched flair

 

 

Dhoti or veshti is worn by many in India. In Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the number of people who wear the veshti is very high. My mother tongue is Tamil but I grew up in Kerala. I've always liked wearing the veshti. It is extremely comfortable and most dignified. When I joined college, jeans became popular but I stuck to my veshti. To this day, I wear the veshti during family and temple functions. I am being sought to do adverisements for the veshti. The lungi, too, is cool. Kurta-pyjamas continue to be popular in north india.
