Delhi Police constable found dead in water tank

A body of 22-year-old Delhi Police constable was found from a water tank at Police Training School in Malviya Nagar area of south Delhi on Thursday.

A policeman who was sent to search the constable reported the incident today morning.

Constable Manish Dagar was recently recruited in the Delhi Police in 2010 and was posted with the 7th  battalion of the Delhi Armed Police.

According to sources, Manish was asked to clean the water tank.

According to police, prima facie it seems that the victim accidentally fell inside the tank and could not come out as no bruises were found on his body. Police are investigating the matter .

Police has sent Dagar's body to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for an autopsy.
His father Krishan Kumar is a head constable posted at the Preet Vihar police station in east Delhi.
