We may call it the death of democracy in India, when innocent lives were taken by men in uniform. These people lost their lives only because they refused to give up their land. And the most depressing part of the Nandigram story is that these people are being misled and used as a weapon in a political war being fought for the survival and revival of a few politicians who have already lost their credibility. So, as a citizen of India, I want to ask why would a government require a SEZ by taking away land from farmers at the cost of their lives?
