The cover story "Autmn of the Dons", (TSI, July 12-18) made it clear that there is no dearth of criminals in Indian politics. Post-Independence, the country has witnessed several progressions almost in every sector. But our political arena remained unaltered and ever corrupted thanks to the power hunger players involved in it. Nonstop ‘white collar’ crimes have stabbed India and even crippled its advancement. The political ganglords paved their ways to politics with the only intention to mask their crimes and escape the clutches of law and order system. Evidently, every vote in the world’s largest democratic system stands invalid as long as it is cast on the gangsters. I believe, naxallism, goondaism and terrorism are everywhere in India, even in our Assemblies. There is an urgent need to reconstruct Indian politics and bring back supreme ruling.
