Munching crickets or snacking on grilled caterpillars now adds to a nutrient-rich diet. The scientists claim that adding insects to the diet would not only be healthy for humans but for the environment too. Some insects, in their dry form, have twice the amount of protein of raw meat and fish, while others are rich in unsaturated fat and contain some important vitamins and minerals. Considered as a healthy alternative for fatty snacks and junk food, the trick to get people eating these bugs is to make them look palatable. So the next time you go to a departmental store, bugs might be on display as well!
