Boosting rural economy

 

 

The write-up "Road for development" by Prasoon S Majumdar (TSI, March 1-7) has rightly expressed the reason for the underdevelopment of Indian villages. It is a fact that less than quarter of money, which is funded by Central government, will reach its destination and the remaining will be hijacked by the middlemen. The Rural areas constitute the majority of India and are mostly neglected by their respective authorities. Education, employment opportunities are still not accessible to them. If we provide them with better transportation facilities, regular contact with the cities in all respective areas and avoid corruption, we can see a better India in the near future. Rural India can be improved easily if politicians work hard and resort to any means of corruption.
