Bomb scare at TCS training facility in Chennai

More than 1,000 employees were evacuated from an IT complex in Ambattur near Chennai following a bomb threat from an unidentified person around 8.30am on Friday, a top police official said.

The Bomb squad personnel is searching the premises, Joint Commissioner (West), K Shankar, said.

Police rushed to the spot after a communication was received about a bomb being planted in the premises of the firm in Ambattur, an industrial hub.

Hundreds of employees have been evacuated, he added.
