Apposite choice

 

 

Arindam Chaudhuri in his editorial (TSI, May 25 -31, 2009) was comprehensive and all-embracing. The people of India have of late realised the importance of stability, secularism and serenity and consequently voted back the UPA, giving them a clear mandate and the freedom to rule. The ‘Hand’ has been given the go-ahead signal for another term to steer the country out of rough weather! Majority of the public believe in peace and harmony. With commanders like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and the ‘soft-spoken hard-working’ Manmohan Singh at the helm of affairs, India can dream of a much better tomorrow and look forward to becoming a dynamic nation to reckon with on this planet. The people of this country have acted. Now it is the turn of the Government to act and keep up people's hope.
