A tribute to T20 team India

 

 

Your Special Report ‘The winner takes it all!’ (TSI October 7, 2007) is a fitting tribute to the T20 Team India. It kindled the joy of jubilation not only to the player’s selected cities and villages but spread its wings to every nook and corner of India. Amidst this jubilation one cannot neglect the victory hockey, football and other sports brought to India. Unfortunately not even a tenth of this elation was visible when they brought laurels to India. The prize money and other benefits that flowed in from unexpected quarters (centre, states, associations etc.) were unbelievable. even the national game and its players are victims of this treatment. TSI brought out the hockey players plight in the report ‘Chak De Blues’ (TSI September 30, 2007). There should be an end to this trend.
