A question of being transparent

 

 

Dissecting animals in the name of science has sparked huge controversies worldwide with animal rights activists coming to the fore and urging for more humane options. And a Professor at the Institute of Amphibian Biology in Japan, Masayuki Sumida, has done just that. Sumida has bred a frog that is transparent enough for students to see its organs, blood vessels etc. This new see-through frog can be watched over its entire lifespan without resorting to dissection. Now that ‘clears’ things up!
