A matter of oil play When you say the word ‘oil’ think twice. Oil, in today’s rapidly changing scientific scenario, doesn’t merely mean fuel for cars. It is also a chemical record of creatures that lived millions of years ago. The chemicals are known as molecular fossils, and by studying them, scientists have found evidence of animals that lived as long as nearly as 800 million years ago!
