After drawing flak for alleged delayed action, Haryana Police today arrested seven persons from Uttarakhand in dalit girl gangrape case which may be tried in a fast-track court.

Even as the case sparked outrage, another woman in Haryana was allegedly raped at gun point in her house by three men, who made a video clip of the crime and circulated it Jind district.

National Commission for Scheduled Caste (NCSC), sought an action taken report (ATR) from Haryana administration at the earliest on the Hisar incident which took place earlier this month. The commission also asked

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.

Haryana Director General of Police RS Dalal said the family of the gangrape victim in Dabravillage in Hisar has been provided security.

Five persons, including three main accused--Vikas, Rajkumar and Pawan, against whom a FIR had been registered were arrested from hideout in Almora. Besides, two more persons have been arrested from elsewhere for allegedly giving shelter to the culprits, he said, adding the total number of arrests made in the case so far has risen to nine.

Dalal said the Hisar SP had been directed to approach the District and Sessions Judge with arequest to constitute a fast track court.

Hisar's Superintendent of Police B Satheesh Balan said they had confessed to the crime and will be produced before a court here tomorrow. Police teams had already been sent to other states including Rajasthan, to nab the remaining three accused, added the cop.

The teenage Dalit girl was allegedly raped a fortnight back by the youths who had also threatened to make public her objectionable pictures, following which her shocked father committed suicide on September 18.

Meanwhile, in yet another shocking case of crime against women in Haryana, a mother of two was allegedly ganagraped at gunpoint by three men, who were familiar with the family, when she was alone in her house at Pilu Khera Mandi.

Her husband was away for work when the incident occurred on September 21.

The accused allegedly also filmed the crime and circulated it in the village, police said. "We have registered an FIR yesterday and two of the accused have been arrested," Jind SP, Sourabh Singh said.

"Nothing can be more shameful than rape of a dalit girl in independent India. We have asked the state government to register a case under the SC/ST Atrocities Act and have sought an ATR from the district administration at the earliest," NCSC Chairman P L Punia told PTI here, adding the Commission will provide the victim Rs 5 lakh to the Hisar victim.

NCSC Vice Chairperson Raj Kumar Verka had visited Hisar yesterday to meet the victim and family members. He also held a meeting with the district police to take stock of the progress in the case.
