The people who took the first ride on Bombay Local in 1928 would not have even imagined that one day; the lifeline of Mumbai will be on the target of bloodsuckers. In a modus operandi that was similar to that of Madrid subway and London Tube blasts, suspected terrorists set off seven bombs on the Mumbai local trains. The carnage was concentrated in the first class bogies. The incident made some people paranoid but failed to douse the spirit of the city. Three heart-wrenching hours later, Locals were back on the track.
