Oil workers out of Sudan

India has evacuated all its oil employees from South Sudan and shut down oilfields it was operating with the Malaysians and Chinese amid rising violence. All 11 executives working on the Greater Nile Oil Project and Block 5A in Sudan were airlifted as rebel forces loyal to deposed South Sudanese Vice President Riek Machar captured Unity state which housed most of the fields ONGC Videsh Ltd. was operating. The oil fields were shut down before the officials left. Some 500 deaths have occurred since fighting broke out.
