National Film awards goes to...

The Directorate of Film Festivals has announced the winners of the prestigious National Film Awards for the year 2013 to honour the best of Indian cinema. While Anand Gandhi’s ‘Ship of Theseus’ took away the top prize – the best feature film award for 2013, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag bagged the Best Popular Film award. The Best Actor Award was shared between Rajkummar Rao who played a slain human rights activist-lawyer in Shahid and Suraj Venjaramudu for his Malayalam movie Perariyathavar. Geetanjali Thapa got the Best Actress for her powerful performance in Liar’s Dice. Jolly LLB won two awards - best Hindi language film and the best supporting actor played by Saurabh Shukla.
