Iran has asserted that any long-term deal on its civil nuclear program should be struck on the basis of mutual trust and confidence and not misapprehension. The remarks were made by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in the presence of IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano at the sidelines of the 50th Munich Security Conference. “I think the opportunity is there. I think it’s a historic opportunity. I think we need to seize it. I think if we don’t… and work on the basis of illusions we will regret it in the days to come and the years to come,” the minister was reported as saying.
