Film beatriz's war shines at 44th IFFI

The top prize at the 44th International Film Festival of India, went to East Timor’s first feature film ‘Beatriz’s War’—a collaborative venture of East Timor and Australia. Kaushik Ganguly was announced Best Director for ‘Apur Panchali’, while Israeli actor Alon Moni Aboutboul won the Best Actor trophy for his performance in ‘Place in Heaven’.The Best Actor (Female) Award went to Polish actress Magdalena Boczarska for her role in Jan Kidawa-Blonski’s ‘In Hiding’.
