Rajesh Gopakumar gets GD Birla Award

Physicist Rajesh Gopakumar has won the 23rd G D Birla Award for scientific research, 2013. The award carries a cash prize of 1.5 lakh rupees and a citation. Presently working as a theoretical physicist at the Harish Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad, he has been awarded for his contributions to Quantum Field Theory and String Theory. He has also won the B M Birla Science prize (2004) and the Third World Academy of Sciences Award (2013).
