Mary Kom undergoes surgery

Olympic bronze medallist Mary Kom underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (removal of gall bladder through key hole surgery) at a private hospital here on Tuesday.

26 stones have been successfully removed from Mary kom’s gallbladder through a keyhole surgery that lasted about an hour at Shija Hospitals and Research Institute in Imphal.

The pugilist, mother of three is now strong and healthy, said the doctors.
