'14th Indian International Security Expo' in Delhi

Over 50 firms from the country and abroad are showcasing latest weapons and gadgetry related to security and hazard detection at an exhibition which was inaugurated here on Wednesday.
   
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Home Jitendra Singh said being up-to-date with the modern weapons and gadgetry is one of the essential necessities of security and paramilitary forces in the country and his ministry is doing a lot of work in this direction.
   
About 55 firms have set up stalls at the '14th Indian International Security Expo' and are displaying latest products and technologies in various areas like intruder protection, fire detection and mitigation and disaster management.
   
The gadgets on display showcase access control systems, perimeter protection devices, surveillance devices, burglar alarm systems, explosive detection and disposal, aviation security, disaster management, information security devices, de-bugging devices, forensic science gadgets, radio communication systems, traffic monitoring systems and training equipment among others.
   
The four-day exhibition at Pragati Maidan is also supported the Home Ministry  and the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD)-- the apex department of the ministry to develop new equipments and best practises on police subjects.
   
Government agencies like Delhi Fire Service, Border Security Force (BSF) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have also set up stalls to impart information about their work to the visitors.
